Reassigning the Transparent Components Region
You associate the physics continuum that you created to model volumetric radiation exchange using the VPMC model with the transparent components region. This association resets the radiative boundary conditions to defaults and clears the materials that are assigned to the transparent solid parts. Therefore, you reassign the radiative boundary conditions and reassociate these parts with their materials.
To reassign the transparent components region:
- Select the Regions > Transparent Components node and set Physics Continuum to Transparent Components VPMC.
-
Reassign the boundary conditions for the transparent components:
-
Edit the Regions > Transparent Components > Boundaries > Transparent Components/Air [0] node and set the following properties:
Node Property Setting Physics Values Surface Material By Contact Subgroup Halogen Bulb/Air Surface Material Halogen Bulb Lens/Air Surface Material Lens -
Edit the Regions > Transparent Components > Boundaries > Walls node and set the following properties:
Node Property Setting Physics Values External Surface Material By Surface Subgroup Halogen Bulb Surface Material Halogen Bulb Lens Surface Material Lens Surface Material By Surface Subgroup Halogen Bulb Surface Material Halogen Bulb Lens Surface Material Lens
-
Edit the Regions > Transparent Components > Boundaries > Transparent Components/Air [0] node and set the following properties:
-
Reassociate the transparent parts with their materials:
- Expand the Transparent Components > Physics Values > Material Part Groups node.
-
Assign the transparent components to the following material part
groups:
Material Part Group Parts Glass Halogen Bulb PMMA Lens
- Save the simulation.
