Export of 2D Field Data for ROM: Airfoil Analysis

In Simcenter STAR-CCM+, you can export 2D field data from a design study in Design Manager to Simcenter Reduced Order Modeling.

Simcenter Reduced Order Modeling is a software tool that creates simplified mathematical models (that is, reduced order models) based on the fields computed in complex simulations. These simplified models replicate the behavior of the complex models with significantly reduced computing resources.

In this tutorial, you are provided with a DOE study of a 2D airfoil design. The study explores how the Mach number and pressure field change in response to a variation of angle of attack and inflow boundary Mach number.

In the tutorial, you export the scenes of the computed 2D fields to a format that can be opened in Simcenter Reduced Order Modeling, for further analysis.

The tutorial does not include instructions for importing and analyzing the 2D field data in Simcenter Reduced Order Modeling
