VOF-Lagrangian Phase Interaction Model Reference
Lagrangian models track individual dispersed particles through the domain, while VOF Multiphase models track the volume fractions of two or more segregated phases. When using both modeling techniques (for example, water droplets spraying through the air into a large volume of water), you can link the two forms of modeling with a VOF-Lagrangian phase interaction model.
The VOF-Lagrangian Phase Interaction model
allows you to select the phases that are involved in the interaction when Lagrangian
particles
impinge on or strip from a VOF free surface. If you want to model sub-grid scale
stripping from the VOF interface, you use the VOF-Lagrangian User Stripping model. If
you want to simplify small VOF blobs by using Lagrangian parcels, you use the Resolved
VOF-Lagrangian Transition model. You can activate all models simultaneously in the same
phase interaction.
注 | When using overset for VOF Lagrangian interaction, parcels' sources for mass, momentum, and energy are distributed to acceptor cells and transferred correctly to the VOF phase. |
